**PreCalculus class recording.**The recording is from a weather day, when we could not meet in our regular facilities. It is a class of 7 students that regularly meet in a building twice a week. There is no sound for the first minute. This recording was not made using the technology that HSML uses, but I look forward to interacting with your student in the HSML-style online class! Keep in mind this is from a live class and it has not been edited. We encourage class participation and time is given to students to ask questions and to clarify concepts.## About Mrs. Frederick

With teaching credentials in Mathematics and Psychology, I graduated from Southwest Texas State University (Texas State University) where I earned a BS in Education degree and a LIfetime Texas Teaching Certificate. I taught in the Texas public schools for 7 years, prior to staying home with my 4 sons. For a very short season, I homeschooled 2 of our children, while tutoring all levels of math and teaching piano lessons in my home. I enjoyed many years of volunteering weekly in the libraries of the public schools that my children attended.

After several years, I was offered a teaching position with the PREP homeschool program, where I have been working for many years, teaching junior high and high school math classes. I currently teach Geometry, Algebra 2, and PreCal.

My family has been in the NW Houston area for many decades, where we attend Cypress Bible Church. My husband is a retired public school math teacher, and now works at Ace Hardware. Our sons are working in the fields of cybersecurity, data analysis, Air Force (along with his wife~), and church ministry. In addition to teaching outside homeschool classes, I tutor math students and teach piano lessons. When I have the opportunity, I love to accompany individuals and groups on keyboards. I am

My favorite part of teaching is when I hear a student say, "oh, wow, I get it!" and they really do! I believe that every person is capable of learning math--some just love it more than others. To me, math is a puzzle; one just has to learn how the pieces fit together, and be willing to keep trying until it all makes sense!
