About Mrs. Hardymon
I received my Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Indiana University with a minor in Mathematics. I went on to receive my Master of Science in Biochemistry from Purdue University. For the last 11 years, my main focus has been homeschooling my five children. Our family is involved with an in-person tutelage where I have taught Chemistry, Algebra 2 and Pre-Calculus for the last 10 years. Recently, I enjoyed teaching Algebra 2 with Memoria Academy online. I have enjoyed teaching math incredibly these last 10 years which has led me to privately tutor online and in-person for the last five years. I enjoy building relationships with the students and guiding them through complex math problems. I am very excited to join HSML and teach Geometry and Algebra 2.
My family and I reside in Indiana. I have five children ranging in age from 12-20 years old. We graduated our oldest son from our homeschool in 2023; he now is a sophomore at Purdue University. I currently homeschool my other four children, and we will have a new high school graduate in 2026!! We keep busy as a family of seven. We greatly enjoy taking our camper out for vacation visiting as many National and State Parks as we can…we have been blessed to visit Glacier NP, Grand Canyon NP and the most recent Acadia NP in Maine. We also enjoy camping in North Michigan. Hiking is one of our very favorite things to do as a family.
My math journey has been an interesting one. My father, a clinical statistician with a pharmaceutical company for 30 years, instilled in me the importance and joy of math. I remember he would light up when he would discuss his work or help me solve hard problems from school. I remember vividly, early in my elementary years, I struggled greatly in math. My dad so patiently would help each evening with my homework. I also remember the school year math clicked for me! My dad would describe it as one day you did not understand and the next you did! I have loved math ever since. I believe I picked Biochemistry as my major because I was using math all the time in my studies. During my years of teaching and tutoring, I have come across students who naturally love and succeed in math. I also love working with students who do not have confidence in the subject but grow not just in their math knowledge but also their overall confidence as a student. I love having a front seat to their growth and cheer them on along the way!

Parents tell me:
Thank you for all you do for my daughter and her confidence. I’ve never seen her engage so well with a tutor before. She asks you questions and really presses upon it until she understands.
Great teacher! My daughter loves learning from her because she makes Algebra easy to understand. I would highly recommend her!
Kristin has been so helpful to my son as he navigates this course. Kristin has been very patient with explaining and reviewing concepts and exceeding generous with her time. I highly recommend her!
