When will the classes meet? Classes will meet daily, Monday through Friday, beginning on July 2 and running through August 24 with a holiday on July 4. All classes will be recorded so that students can rewatch the instruction as they complete their homework or they can view the class later if they have to miss class. However, due to the quick pace of the course, absences are highly discouraged. PreAlgebra 3:00 4:15 Central Time Algebra I 4:305:45 Central Time What textbook will be used? Textbook: Glencoe PreAlgebra ISBN: 9780078252006 Textbook: Glencoe Algebra I ISBN: 9780078651137 How much time will be required outside of class? Students will be expected to complete homework assignments daily. The time required to complete a homework assignment always varies greatly between students, but plan on two or three hours outside of class daily. How will grades be assessed? Students will take the same quizzes and tests that we give in our yearlong classes, which means a student will complete a quiz or test almost every day as part of their homework assignment. The teacher will grade the assessment and give daily feedback. What is the cost of this course? The total cost, including registration and tuition, is $550 for PreAlgebra and $600 for Algebra I. (Payment can be made in one or two payments.) The textbooks are not included but can be purchased online for around $15. This is the same price as our fullyear course because the content is identical even though the length of the course is much shorter. Who is the teacher for these classes?
