Brush Up on Math
|
Pre-Algebra Algebra I Geometry Algebra II How much time will be required outside of class? Students will be expected to complete homework assignments daily. The time required to complete a homework assignment always varies greatly between students, but plan on two or three hours outside of class daily. The early portion of the class may require less time since there will be some review material. But as the course progresses and more new material is presented, the students will need to spend more time on the homework assigned. How will grades be assessed? Students will take the same quizzes and tests that we give in our year-long classes, which means a student will complete a quiz or test almost every day as part of their homework assignment. The teacher will grade the assessment and give daily feedback. |
If your student would benefit from a little math during the summer, High School Math Live is offering Brush-Up on Math!

What is included? Students will watch a recorded workshop where Mrs. Jones will teach/reinforce their mastery of a specific concept. After the workshop, students will receive a handout that they will complete and scan back to Mrs. Jones. Then they will set up a one-on-one tutoring session with Mrs. Jones to go over the handout. How much does it cost? $45 per workshop How do I register? What do the workshops cover? Click here to learn more about the workshops, payment information and details on how to register. |
