​Brush Up on Math Workshops
and Tutoring

Need help on specific math topics?  Live one-on-one tutoring session?  

If your student would benefit from a little math during the summer, High School Math Live offers Brush-Up on Math!
Brush-Up on Math consists of a series of workshops and individual tutoring sessions with Mrs. Jones discussing specific math concepts that often require extra time and practice for students to master.  The Brush-Up Math workshops are available year round, so that your student is able to brush-up on any of these topics whenever it is needed.    

What is included? 
Students will watch a recorded workshop where  Mrs. Jones will teach/reinforce their mastery of a specific concept. After the workshop, students will complete worksheets and scan the worksheets back to Mrs. Jones. Then they will set up a one-on-one tutoring session with Mrs. Jones to go over the worksheet.  Workshops are between 35 - 75 minutes, depending upon the topic.  Individual tutoring sessions are 30 minutes for each workshop.

How much does it cost?  $45 per workshop (there are 30 workshops, 10 in each level) or $200 for 5 workshops

Topics?  
There are three levels of workshops, designed to review and reinforce previous learning. Students will receive the most benefit from a workshop that is a review rather than a new concept to them. Level A workshops will focus on middle school math skills necessary for success in high school, including skills taught in Pre-Pre-Algebra. Level B workshops will focus on skills learned in Pre-Algebra and Level C will focus on skills learned in Algebra I.  Students who have not taken Algebra I may find the Level C workshops too difficult.  Workshops descriptions are listed below.
