Course Description:
High School Math Live Algebra I uses the Glencoe Mathematics Algebra 1 textbook. This course lays the foundation for all of high school level mathematics. We would love to help your child see the beauty of mathematics as we demonstrate how each concept builds on the last one and fits in to the grand scheme of mathematics. Algebra I is generally for honors-level 8th grade or on-level 9th grade students. If a student plans to take Calculus I in high school, they should register for this class in the 8th grade. Topics include: real numbers, solving linear equations, graphing relations and functions, analyzing linear equations, solving linear inequalities, solving systems of linear equations and inequalities, polynomials, factoring, quadratic functions, radical expressions, and variation.
